Highlights of Role: Key focus on creating, monitoring, and maintaining all aspects of merchandising, field services, and retailer partnerships to re⁃establish a stronger retail footprint and standards to ultimately drive the business.
Key Partnerships: This role will work cross functionally with the RDDC, Global VM, Creative Center Hub, Sales, and Marketing teams.
+ Collaborate with Creative Director (CCH) and Marketing on creative in⁃store strategies to enrich the consumer experience.
+ Develop and maintain strong understanding of retailers In NA region (Ulta, Sephora, Macy's etc.)
+ Work with Trade Marketing team to develop and implement a long⁃term product and merchandising strategy for all levels of the distribution for, Retail Partner & FSS doors.
+ Partner with Marketing to create 360 campaign dossiers and toolkits for NA deployment.
+ Partner with Marketing In creating VM update briefs for CCH and RDDC.
+ Review and approve in collaboration with CCH Creative Dir, VM DTOs submitted by RDDC
+ Work with the RDDC Team to impact new store openings, new fixture rollouts, and existing formats.
+ Oversees the budgeting and sourcing all visual elements (locally sourced and executed) and materials.
+ Enhance standard practices for Visual Merchandising regarding new store openings, renovations, seasonal implementations, and ongoing visual merchandising directives.
+ Deliver accurate, timely and logical evaluations of VM financial KPI's to provide insight to steer and influence the business.
+ Develops and provides oversight to the timely distribution of brand and seasonal merchandising guidelines and planograms.
+ Partner with Marketing & Creative, to pre⁃plan for all 3D & 2D window installations, LED content uploading and seasonal store take⁃overs.
+ Manage the visual update cadence, process, and budget, striking a balance between evergreen brand and product storytelling and locally relevant seasonal injections.
+ Source and manage suppliers to produce and install seasonal windows and graphics, ensuring quality standards are exceeded.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for all Visual Merchandising programs impacting account budgets to ensure and maintain transparency both cross⁃functionally and operationally.
Qualifications
+ Position requires 10+ years, preferably in the cosmetics or fashion arena, in visual merchandising or industrial design, store planning/design, event design, graphic design, or related experience, with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred. Strong graphic design with ability to follow graphic standards and 3-dimensional design skills.
+ BA degree or equivalent experience required.
+ Strong ability to render and communicate ideas, flexibility of vision, responsiveness to creative input, and great visual sensibilities.
+ Must be exceptionally creative and innovative, and be able to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to obtain cooperation from all levels of staff and vendors resulting in smooth completion of project initiatives. Ability to work well in a team environment, contribute ideas, and interact with other departments to obtain current information in an ever-evolving environment on trends, customers, market conditions, etc. Ability to receive input from key collaborators, and be able to persuasively discuss/defend design solutions while remaining flexible and open to other points of view with both internal and external groups.
+ Superior organizational skills to handle the details of many projects simultaneously with ability to juggle many pressing priorities with ease in a fast paced environment.
+ Understanding of current Fashion/Retail trends, ability to identify and translate trends in the industry and the consumer marketplace.
+ Computer skills: On Mac platform; Adobe Creative Suite, Maya or equivalent 3-D drawing program a plus, all Microsoft Office programs.
+ Thorough knowledge of all digital file formats and their best-practice applications. Understanding of server protocol and follow through on file back-up and archiving procedures to prevent the loss of work product.
+ Excellent hand-skills to comp creative concepts to highest presentation quality.
