    Schedule: 9/80 2nd shift

     

    The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms.     Job Responsibilities

    + Performs set-ups on a variety of CNC equipment with a general knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls

    + Utilizes knowledge of CNC controls to set zero reference points, tool offsets, loads programs,

    + Run production, monitoring parts to ensure accurate high-quality parts are made safely and as efficiently

    + Utilize the data collection system to accurately record production activities including time spent, quantity produced, and any rejected parts

    + Must be able to read and understand drawings, basic understanding of GD&T as well as the ability to work from verbal instructions.

    + Understanding of safety, quality and continuous improvement expectations in a manufacturing environment.

    + Ability to work in a team atmosphere.

    + Willingness to work overtime to meet production demands.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED

    + 3- 5 years of experience in specialty area - tool making

    + Must be able to use measuring equipment and gages to ensure produced part meets specification

    + Programming knowledge a plus

    + Experience with CNC lathes a plus

    + Experience using 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred) a plus
