    Looking for a FT Technician V

     

    Schedule: Remote

    Summary:

    A Tech V in the remote device clinic remotely monitors patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) and integrates a knowledge base from physiology, pathophysiology, and cardiac device function to perform competent evaluations, diagnostic review, and overall analysis through remote monitoring. Uses clinical judgment to prioritize device alerts and abnormal transmissions per established policies and protocols and notifies physician or non-physician practitioners of urgent issues requiring further attention. This role is 100% remote.

    Responsibilities:

    + Reviews remote monitoring software daily for transmission data and alerts.

    + Identifies ALERTS that require immediate attention and notifies clinical staff.

    + Performs remote device interrogation and/or follow up.

    + Documents appropriately in electronic health record regarding patient remotes.

    + Enters findings and appropriate communication contact per Clinic Management protocol.

    + Coordinates all device monitoring programs on vendor sites such as Merlin.net, CareLink, Biotronik Home Monitoring and Latitude.

    + Uploads and reviews daily CIED reports per protocols.

    + Maintain knowledge of new developments in device technology.

    + Be a resource for remote device management for the practice physicians and clinical staff.

    + Patient/Customer:

    + Ensures communication and collaboration with clinical staff and fellow co-workers to serve patients and other customers to the best of his/her ability.

    + Modifies interactions to accommodate the diverse needs of our patients/customers and family.

    + Works to enhance patient satisfaction.

    + Demonstrates competence in the observation, treatment and care of the specific patients served whose ages range from adolescence through adulthood and geriatrics.

    + Ensures patient/customer and family confidentiality, respect, safety and security.

    + Complies with identified customer service standards.

    + Demonstrates a personal commitment to ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

    + Attends staff meetings and continuing education in-service training as directed by supervisor.

    + Patient/Employee Safety Accountabilities

    + Participates in Entity and Department wide initiatives for Patient /Employee safety

    + Demonstrates an awareness of patient/ employee safety when carrying out daily responsibilities of their position.

    + Validation of annual competencies required for the position

    Credentials:

    + CPR certification (Required)

    + ACLS (Preferred)

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    + H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

    + Completion of accredited medical program specializing in EKG required. And 1+ years Previous medical experience in cardiac monitoring/testing preferred. Or 2-5 years on the job training/work experience in a similar field will be considered in lieu of the medical program requirement. (Required)
