The Field Service Engineer is responsible for onsite installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of Leica equipment.
This position reports to the District Field Service Manager, Central and is part of the Service Department working remotely to cover the Central Region.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Visit customers (primarily universities and hospitals) for preventive maintenance actions, fault analysis, upgrades, installation, maintenance, and repair to achieve optimum customer care delivering professional service with effective working practices.
+ Support Sales Representatives in activities such as installations and demo/exhibitions.
+ Collaborate closely with the Service Team to ensure all customers in the region are provided professional after-sales service, including exchanging valuable information resulting from customer contacts to increase customer happiness and sales.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ HS Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years' experience and/or vocational training in a technical, scientific, or engineering background or relevant military experience
+ Electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
+ Ability to travel up to 80% including overnight travel up to 4 nights a week with international travel for training up to twice a year.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ This position requires flying and/or driving travel, which may potentially include up to 80% overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.
+ Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
+ Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50lbs. Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Microsoft Office Suite
+ SalesForce
+ Basic computer repair

The hourly range for this role is $35.00 - $40.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
