**Monte Nido has been delivering treatment for eating disorders for over two decades.** Our programs offer a model of treatment that blends medically sophisticated care with a personalized treatment approach. Our work is grounded in evidence-based strategies for adults and adolescents suffering from eating disorders. We work from a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach while integrating state-of-the-art medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical strategies to provide comprehensive care within an intimate home setting.
Our research team is conducting a large-scale study that tracks client progress throughout treatment and up to one year after treatment. Findings from this study will be used to improve client care, evaluate program effectiveness, and move the field forward through presentation and publication.
We are seeking **research assistant interns** to assist with this study. This position is geared towards undergraduate, post-graduate and graduate students looking to gain research experience in a real-life clinical setting _._ In addition to assisting with research duties, research assistants will be provided with unique opportunities to gain exposure to clinical practice. Specifically, research assistants may attend multi-disciplinary staff meetings and observe treatment planning discussions among professionals when possible. In addition, in house educational seminars and trainings will be opened to research assistants. The research assistant will be directly mentored by professionals on the research team.
Position Status:
+ Commitment of 6 hours per week towards research. Research assistants who wish to gain that extra clinical exposure and attend weekly staff meetings are encouraged to do so for an additional 1-2 hours per week.
+ Unpaid, volunteer status
+ Two semester (or more) commitment preferred

Responsibilities Include:
General Research Duties include:
+ Enter and maintain data
+ Help create reports with client assessment scores
+ Assist with creation of program effectiveness reports
+ Assist with research presentations, projects and papers
+ Assist with development of new study materials and systems
+ Make follow up calls to clients and providers to obtain study data, as directed
+ Conduct literature reviews
Learning Outcomes:
+ Experiential learning with research methodology (research protocols, data collection) in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting
+ Basic training on data management in Qualtrics, SPSS and other software
+ Mentoring for advanced educational opportunities in clinical and/or research settings
+ Option to attend weekly clinical staff meetings for extra exposure to a unique clinical setting
+ In house educational seminars and trainings will be opened to research assistants
Qualifications:
+ Enrolled in graduate program for Mental Health Counseling, Professional Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related program, and working to gain internship hours we invite you to apply to our clinicial Intern positions we have available across the United States.
