Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and engineering sector, is seeking a Product Development Specialist to join their team. As a Product Development Specialist, you will be part of the Product Development Engineering group supporting various departments involved in product testing, assembly, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and resourcefulness, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Location:** Grand Rapids, Michigan

**Pay Range:** $36.2

What's the Job?

+ Support engineering by managing inventory arriving for testing, building test samples, and disposing of tested products.

+ Lay out, produce, modify, and repair non-standard parts using various fabrication, welding, and assembly equipment.

+ Coordinate and expedite parts through the plant, model shop, supplier, and test lab to ensure project timelines are met.

+ Track project progress and assist in coordinating other aspects of product development as required.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the project room and engineering storage areas.

What's Needed?

+ High School Diploma or equivalent education.

+ Experience setting up and working with a variety of production equipment such as shear, brake, punch press, welders, and hand tools.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP, and other relevant software tools.

+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.

+ Good communication skills and a customer service orientation to coordinate across departments and suppliers.
