Job Title: Architectural Job Captain / Sr Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Architectural Job Captain or Sr. Designer to join our team in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will oversee the production of design deliverables, construction documentation, and construction administration tasks. This role requires strong coordination and management skills to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. The successful candidate will be the sole person on-site in Reno, supporting and growing projects.

Responsibilities

+ Develop and coordinate the production of quality contract documents based on prototype and/or job-specific requirements.

+ Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of various architectural projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.

+ Guide the extended team to create complete design and construction documents.

+ Collaborate with Project Architects and Project Managers to ensure the vision of the work stays on point.

+ Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

+ Ensure designs and documents comply with all applicable codes.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

+ Experience working on government, public works, or large scale TI projects.

+ Ability to work independently and communicate remotely.

+ Experience taking at least one project from schematic design to construction documents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Designer or Job Captain.

+ Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD (8/10 for both).

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience on relevant projects.

Work Environment

The role is based in Reno, NV with plans to establish an office. Initially, the position may start remotely. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. The position is salary exempt. The team supports growth and provides 3 weeks of PTO, with quarterly office events and occasional catered lunches. The work culture emphasizes work-life balance, with rare overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
