**Verdantas is seeking a skilled Technician II to join our team in the Irvine/Los Angeles, CA office.** This position offers the opportunity to support a variety of environmental and engineering projects, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative setting. As a Technician II, you will assist with field testing, data collection, and technical reporting to help deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys hands-on work and is committed to quality and safety.
What You'll Do:
+ Conduct advanced field tests on construction materials, structures, and systems
+ Perform inspections and assessments of projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
+ Collect, analyze, and interpret data from tests and inspections
+ Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings
+ Operate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipment
+ Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocols
+ Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and team members
+ Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
+ Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager/Supervisor
+ Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
What You Bring:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical training preferred
+ 2+ years of experience in environmental, geotechnical, or construction-related fieldwork
+ ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification - Candidates must possess a valid ACI certification
+ ICC soils is a plus
+ Nuclear Density Guage Certification - Experience and certification in the use of nuclear density gauges is required
+ Familiarity with field sampling techniques, soil and aggerates, and use of field instruments
+ Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
+ Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation
+ Knowledge of health and safety protocols and ability to follow established procedures
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers
+ Flexibility to travel to project sites and adapt to changing schedules
+ Must have a reliable vehicle capable of navigating rugged terrain, including traveling through ruts up to 2 feet deep
+ This position will require periodic nights and weekends
+ Will require physical, drug screening, Live Scan
Salary Range:
$25.00-$30.00
