Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is looking to add a Child Psychiatrist to our multidisciplinary team in our New Haven location. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist has responsibility for psychiatric consultation involving children and adolescents at the BHD site(s) assigned. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will work in collaboration with Program Director(s) of site(s) to deliver appropriate clinical services and treatment planning. There are opportunities for teaching: Yale medical students with corresponding clinical faculty appointments.

Requirements:
+ M.D. or D.O. with a current, unrestricted medical license in the State of Connecticut. Must be Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Board certified or eligible. Must be CPR certified.
+ Minimum of two (2) years experience working with assigned population. Experience may include internship/residency/fellowship.
+ Knowledge and competency regarding psychiatric diagnosis, assessment and treatment of children and adolescents.
+ Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to generate high levels of client and parent/guardian satisfaction.
+ Ability to work with interdisciplinary team.
+ Must demonstrate age specific/population specific competencies in area(s) of practice. Knowledge and skills related to individual, group and family system dynamics.
+ Must demonstrate cultural competence.
