    Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) Engineering is an organization within Schwab Technology Services aligned to support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAM), Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS), the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR), and Third-Party Platform teams. Wealth Management Engineering (WME), an organization within WAM Engineering, is dedicated to providing support to WAS which is a growth area for Schwab.

     

    This newly created role will support the future growth of the WAS business. As a junior hands-on Developer of Software Development Engineering, you will enable WME to achieve consistent, predictable, high-quality delivery by implementing best practices, tools, metrics, automation frameworks, and provide oversight in the areas of software development and testing. You’ll serve as a strong and versatile hands-on technical leader. You will deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.

     

    You will play a critical role in supporting key stakeholders across the WAS organization which is focused on high-net worth and ultra-high net worth retail investors. Supported business functions span Schwab’s Wealth and Investment Solutions including Schwab Wealth Advisory. You will be working with a team of talented and highly motivated technologists that strive to make technology a strategic differentiator for Schwab’s WAS business and their clients.

     

    What you have

     

    Follow the lead, implement testing solutions and collaborate with partners to deliver tests for both in-sprint and cross-domain level. You will be an essential member of the cross-domain/project test team, responsible for validating Wealth and Asset management capabilities around the system boundary. You will lead end-to-end and/or cross-domain testing efforts that includes – domain discovery, test plan creation/review, automating MVP data flows, performing the live-testing (exploratory), results reporting, observation analysis, risks reporting etc. You will work on development of automated testing for the essential components of the system and deliver robust and high-quality data integration and data management processes that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.

    Required qualifications:

    + Minimum 3+ years’ experience coding in Java, building and maintaining test automation frameworks.

    + Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an SDET in an Agile environment.

    **Preferred qualifications** :

    + Experience with design, develop and implementing automated testing for REST/UI services.

    + Influence, develop and execute on QA process and best practices.

    + Experience driving continuous integration and deployment strategies.

    + Experience partnering effectively with Application Architects, Engineers, and Business partners and represent the team in various forums related to the design and development of various services.

    + Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M

    + Experience with developments tools such as - JMeter, GitHub, Harness, Launch Darkly, and mabl

    + Experience with RabbitMQ and Postgresql database.

    + Experience with cloud technologies such as PCF (on-prem) and GCP / AWS (public).

    + Experience with Data Catalog tools like Collibra, Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog and Informatica Data Quality

    + Wealth Management and/or Financial Services industry experience.
