Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will primarily provide back-end software development for our product database configuration tool. This configuration tool is an application that enables our engineering teams to configure and deliver In-Flight Entertainment System (IFES) features to our airline customers.

+ Maintain and expand functionality of the existing application through solid knowledge of software lifecycles using Agile methodologies

+ Enhance, optimize, and improve efficiency and robustness of the existing software framework

+ Design new and efficient React components for application UI

+ Work with GraphQL and API services

+ Create and maintain unit tests and monitor test coverage through CI/CD pipeline

+ Document requirements and designs in engineering tools such as Jira and Confluence

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

+ Working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

+ Experience with ReactJS and Typescript

+ Experience with SQL and GraphQL queries and data modeling

+ Experience with shell scripting on Linux

+ Experience with Git, CI/CD and automated testing frameworks

+ Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems

+ Ability to manage priorities, context switches and make efficient use of shared resources

+ Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with user-centered, iterative design and development process

+ Ability to communicate clearly using clear and concise written and verbal skills

+ Ability to understand existing PHP codebase

+ Working knowledge of the Agile software development methodology

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related fields.

+ 1 - 3 years of software development experience

+ Experience working with testing frameworks and tools like Jest, PHP Unit/Pest, Selenium

+ Able to understand basic hardware and wiring diagrams and schematics

_Other Requirements:_

+ Ability to travel to domestic or international locations as required, up to 10% of the time.

The salary range of **$31.00 - $53.00 an hour** is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum.
