Job Title: Document Controls Clerk
Job Description
The Document Controls Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient management of project documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in both manual and electronic document control systems. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain compliance with document standards and support project execution.
Responsibilities
+ Collect, log, maintain, and distribute all documents to define project product configuration and customer requirements.
+ Maintain a filing system for both project books and computer databases for all documents to be retained.
+ Ensure all users have the latest revision for the appropriate documentation.
+ Receive transmittals, process, and transmit files of the latest revision to both internal and external customers.
+ Prioritize workload based on operational guidelines and deadlines of the Document Control department.
+ Oversee receipt of emails and FTP sites to provide Document control services.
+ Print as needed and log all new submissions for engineering review.
+ Update and maintain a computer database of all filed documentation to ensure accurate retrieval.
+ Scan documents or images, organize and maintain, adhering to the company’s document lifecycle procedures.
+ Archive inactive documents and records.
+ Check promptness of document review and ensure their timely turnover.
+ Provide necessary guidance to engineering and supporting departments to oversee accuracy of internal systems and processes.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned by management, such as editing, administrative support, and data entry.
Essential Skills
+ 2-5 years experience in document control or related administrative role.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel including basic formulas and filtering.
+ Skilled in Microsoft Word and SharePoint for document management.
+ Familiarity with Outlook for email communication.
+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent..

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
