U. S. Steel is seeking a motivated early-career professional to join our Commercial Marketing team as a Management Associate – Marketing. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Tubular Marketing team, taking on meaningful projects and gaining hands-on experience in analysis, planning, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work across a variety of marketing functions—including pricing and profitability analysis, market reporting, strategic planning, trade management, and brand development—while building a strong foundation for a successful Commercial career at U. S. Steel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Track, analyze, and communicate key energy, Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), and Line Pipe market drivers to internal stakeholders.
+ Support the development and analysis of Commercial shipment forecasts and monitor performance against key KPIs.
+ Provide insights into product and customer profitability by becoming a superuser of our internal costing solution.
+ Strengthen U. S. Steel Tubular Products’ brand presence through social media management, website optimization, and customer event support.
+ Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on Commercial reporting efficiency, artificial intelligence, and digitalization.
+ Assist with ad-hoc analysis and presentation development for Commercial and other stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with groups such as Sales, Financial Planning & Analysis, Sales & Operations Planning, Product Development, Operations, and IT to provide optimal Commercial decision-making tools.
REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, supply chain management or a closely related field, obtained within the last 3 years.
+ Less than 3 years of professional work experience.
+ Strong analytical skills with proven history of problem-solving.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with particular emphasis on Excel (formulas, pivot tables, MS Power Query). Modeling experience, as well as familiarity with Tableau, Think Cell, and Salesforce desirable.
+ Great attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
+ Self-starter that targets continuous process improvement.
