    Special Education Teacher (LBS1 Required) | K–3 Resource | South Holland, IL | $45/hr | Full-Time | 39-Week Contract

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support K–3 students in a resource setting in South Holland, IL. This in-person role begins November 17, 2025 and runs through the end of the school year.

    Position Overview

    + Location: South Holland, IL

    + Start Date: November 17, 2025 (ASAP)

    + Duration: 39 weeks

    + Schedule: 32.5 hours/week | 8:30am–3:00pm | 30 min unpaid break

    + Grade Level: K–3

    + Caseload: Approx. 13 students

    + Modality: In-person

    + Interview: Virtual

    Responsibilities

    + Provide individualized and small-group instruction to special education students

    + Collaborate with general education staff to implement IEPs

    + Deliver tutorial assistance and consultation services

    + Maintain compliance with professional standards and district requirements

    + Support student growth and achievement through effective classroom management

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid Illinois teaching certificate (Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching)

    + LBS1 endorsement required

    + Minimum 1 year of teaching experience preferred

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Minimum age: 18

    Pay Rate

    + $45/hr
