    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineering Manager who will be responsible for leading a team of software and quality assurance engineers. The ideal candidate is a creative manager with strong background with agile methodologies and developing innovative strategies to enhance the engineering team’s effectiveness.

     

    • Lead and manage a team of Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship; guide architecture, design, and code quality decisions.

    • Drive continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and processes.

    • Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies.

    • Track project progress, risks, and dependencies, and report status to the VP of Engineering.

    • Support production deployments and post-release issue resolution.

    • Drive the adoption and implementation of test automation frameworks and tools to increase test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.

     

    Salary: 130,000-160,000 USD

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.

    • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 2+ years in a management or technical leadership role.

    o Object Oriented Programming Concepts

    o ASP.NET, HTML5 and MVC

     

    o Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services and .NET UI Frameworks

    o JavaScript, jQuery

    • Hands-on experience with modern software development tools, frameworks, and cloud-based architectures (AZURE)
