In this position...
+ Calibration Development and Release: Leading department to develop, sign off, and release powertrain calibrations for ICE & HEV applications, ensuring they meet targets for emissions, performance, and fuel economy.
+ Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with various engineering teams, including engine, transmission, vehicle, climate control, NVH, and aftertreatment systems, to integrate calibration efforts and deliver desired attributes, drivability, and emissions compliance.
+ Budget and Resource Management: Establishing vehicle and headcount requirements, and managing the department's budget, including travel, to align with program and engineering financial constraints.
What you'll do...
+ Quality Assurance and Improvement: Overseeing department quality through regular reviews, implementing Six Sigma projects for continuous improvement, and leading the resolution of launch issues related to quality, durability, and plant incidents.
+ Program Reporting and Issue Resolution: Reporting program status, supporting updates, and conducting design review meetings to address cross-functional engineering challenges.
+ Team Leadership and Development: Leading improvement initiatives to remove workplace obstacles and boost morale, conducting performance reviews, coaching personnel, and participating in staffing efforts through interviews to meet departmental needs.
You'll have...
+ Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering.
+ 5+ years of experience in Powertrain (P/T) Calibration.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues across multiple programs effectively and efficiently.
+ Outstanding leadership skills with a proven track record of guiding teams.
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a challenging environment.
+ Effective coaching and mentoring skills.

+ Master of Science (MS) or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
+ 10+ years of Powertrain Engineering Experience.
