Introduction
A career in IBM Consulting means shaping the future of business and society by helping the world’s most influential companies reinvent with AI, experience, and technology at scale. As part of IBM Consulting’s organization, you’ll partner directly with clients to solve complex business problems through human-centered design, AI-driven insights, and modern digital delivery.
Instead of designing for a single product, you’ll design end-to-end experiences across industries—from strategy through execution—co-creating with clients in real time and bringing IBM’s platform, data, and AI capabilities to life. IBM Consulting operates at the intersection of business, human experience, and technology. Joining this team places you at the forefront of digital and AI-enabled transformation, with the ability to see your work realized inside real organizations, at real scale.
Your role and responsibilities
'- Translate Research into Client-Ready Design Solutions: Turn insights from discovery and stakeholder interviews into wireframes, blueprints, low/high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and service flows.
- Design for Real-World Impact: Create visual concepts, interaction patterns, prototypes, and demos that support consulting engagements, client pitches, minimum viable products (MVPs), and enterprise roll-outs.
- Work Across the Full Design-to-Delivery Cycle: Collaborate with strategists, engineers, product owners, and AI experts to move from vision → prototype → pilot → scaled implementation.
- Co-Create with Clients: Facilitate working sessions, design thinking workshops, and stakeholder walkthroughs to align on needs, solutions, and outcomes.
- Shape Enterprise Experiences: Design workflows and digital services that span multiple systems, users, and business processes—not just single-screen UI work.
- Bring AI to Life: Help shape how generative AI and intelligent automation are embedded into user experiences, roles, and decision-making.
Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week subject to business needs.
This Job can be Performed from anywhere in the US.
