    Description

    OVERVIEW

    Cadrex is searching for a System Administrator who will operate as a member of the Cadrex Global IT team reporting to the Director of Network Operations, supporting all areas of Cadrex's business and IT solutions across all locations. This role has two areas of focus. The primary responsibility will focus on network and infrastructure administration and other IT-related projects. You will work alongside the other IT team members to help build and support our unique production and office infrastructure. This includes installing, administering, and troubleshooting Cadrex’s network, network devices, server infrastructure, and monitoring systems. The remainder of your job duties will be to provide the support for Cadrex employees. This includes working with local MSPs, troubleshooting end-user support requests, provisioning workstations for employees, assisting with technology orientation sessions with new employees, supporting all business systems, applications, and equipment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    NETWORK ADMINISTRATION

    + Assist with management of corporate network environment, consisting of Cisco switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access point and controllers

    + Assist with server maintenance and administration, including virtualization

    + Assist with Active Directory administration

    + Assist with Microsoft 365 administration

    + Evaluate network performance issues by using methods and tools to analyze, tune and troubleshoot network issues

    + Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation, maintaining documentation

    + Coordinate work with outside vendors and consultants based on assigned project work

    + Administer hardware and software updates and upgrades, system patches, bug fixes, and major releases that will improve the performance and reliability to client and manufacturing computer systems

    + Ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data platforms that support internal employee business functions

    + Contribute to maintaining and monitoring equipment and manufacturing systems

    + Perform periodic performance reporting to the IT Network Operations Director

    + Maintain and control inventory of the IT infrastructure and network equipment

    + Document the topology, operation, and troubleshooting procedures of network infrastructure

    IT INCIDENTS, PROBLEMS, AND CHANGES

    + Prioritize and troubleshoot incidents as they arise

    + Support employees' desktop, laptop, and print computing needs

    + Coach and train end-users

    + Configure and deploy desktop and laptop computers

    + Perform occasional work after-hours in the event of a service issue or maintenance/upgrade/repair work

    Requirements

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + 2+ years’ related experience in a moderate-sized business

    + Must be able to complete complex projects with minimal to no supervision

    + Technical certifications a plus

    + Ability to work with users and other technicians with varying IT backgrounds.

    + Strong knowledge of MS Office Products Including Office 365

    + Strong knowledge of Cisco switches, HP servers, and VOIP phone systems

    + Availability to provide 24x7 support in the event an incident arises

    EDUCATION

    + Associates degree preferred

    SCHEDULE

    + M-F - Work hours are to follow primary manufacturing times, however, at times after hours, weekends, or special work times are needed based on support and project needs

    Salary Description

    $62,000-$104,000 Yearly
