SGI Global is seeking a qualified Analytical Aide to support the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG) under the Preparedness Planning, Program Management, Administrative, and Training & Exercise Services IDIQ. The Analytical Aide will provide analytical, technical, and administrative support to supervisory and professional staff engaged in homeland security and emergency preparedness projects across the National Capital Region (NCR). This position supports the NCR's strategic goal of enhancing regional coordination, situational awareness, and preparedness through data-driven decision-making and efficient program support.
Key Responsibilities
+ Perform a wide range of analytical support tasks including data entry, spreadsheet and database management, and development of presentations and graphics.
+ Assist in collecting, compiling, and organizing information to support project deliverables, plans, and reports.
+ Develop and maintain tracking tools, metrics, and visualizations to support project performance reporting.
+ Contribute to the preparation and formatting of technical reports, meeting summaries, and briefing materials.
+ Support planning, training, and exercise activities by managing logistics, preparing documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
+ Work closely with senior staff and project managers to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality in analytical outputs.
+ Participate in project meetings, providing notes, follow-up tracking, and data validation support as required.
+ Handle sensitive information responsibly, in compliance with applicable privacy and security requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in emergency management, data analytics, public administration, or a related field.
+ Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience providing analytical or technical support in a professional environment.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and documentation.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation commensurate with contract requirements.
