How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Program Manager, Trade Compliance is responsible for leading and managing global trade compliance initiatives across Onboard Service. This role is responsible for ensuring that all import and export activities comply with applicable international trade laws and regulations, while supporting business operations and minimizing risk.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop, implement, and manage global trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade laws (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC, customs regulations).
+ Develop and implement a bonded storage strategy to optimize duty deferral, improve inventory control, and ensure compliance with customs regulations for goods stored in bonded warehouses.
+ Monitor and interpret changes in trade regulations and assess their impact on the business. Ensure timely updates to internal policies and training materials.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Supply Chain Management, Delta Logistics Control Center) to integrate compliance requirements into business processes.
+ Conduct trade compliance risk assessments and audits. Identify gaps and implement corrective actions to mitigate compliance risks.
+ Oversee the execution of export/import documentation, classification of goods (HTS, ECCN), and maintenance of accurate trade documentation.
+ Support the implementation and optimization of trade compliance tools and systems (e.g., SAP, TMS, GTS).
+ Design and manage a duty drawback program to recover eligible duties, taxes, and fees on imported goods that are subsequently exported or destroyed, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and maximizing financial recovery.
+ Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure smooth and compliant trade operations.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
+ Strong leadership and communication skills.
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Master's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics, relevant certifications, and proficiency in SAP, Tableau, TMS, and Zendesk.
+ Customs broker license strongly preferred.
