Our client, a leading innovator in Silicon Valley's technology sector, is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer 5 to join their dynamic team. As a Hardware Design Engineer 5, you will be part of the Silicon Power Development Department supporting in-house silicon development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

**Job Title:** Hardware Design Engineer 5

**Location:** Mountain View, CA (onsite 5 days a week)

**Pay Range:** $84-92 per hour on Experis W2 (no C2C)

What's the Job?

+ Analyze information to determine optimal hardware layout, including modifications to computers and peripheral equipment

+ Assemble and modify existing equipment to meet specific project needs

+ Build, test, and refine product prototypes utilizing both physical models and computer simulations

+ Evaluate hardware configurations considering cost, security, and reporting requirements

+ Monitor equipment performance and implement necessary modifications to ensure conformance with specifications

What's Needed?

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

+ 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, specifically with silicon power measurement

+ Proficiency with oscilloscopes and handling complex electronic measurement tools

+ Strong skills in Python or C programming languages

+ Experience with circuit boards, processors, chips, and computer hardware/software applications
