Our client is looking for an experienced Shop Assembly Specialist that is responsible for providing an adhering to proper assembly of shop related assembly and repair services on any product line equipment for rebuild and general assembly.
**Job Title:** Shop Assembly Specialist
Pay Range: $30 - $35/hour
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Perform tear down, inspection, repair, and final assembly of mining equipment (e.g., gearboxes, motors, pumps, screens).
+ Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance actions, job progress, and technical reports.
+ Maintain and update equipment records, manuals, and best practice procedures.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
Qualifications
+ Prior experience with mining process equipment and mechanical components.
+ Proficient in reading requisitions, shop drawings, welding details, and engineering specifications.
+ Skilled in using welding equipment and precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, pi tapes).
+ Strong understanding of mechanical systems including bearings, bushings, and gearing.
+ Knowledge of machine operation, maintenance, and repair.
+ Familiarity with design principles, blueprints, and technical models.
