    Job Title: Press Brake Operator

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic and dedicated team at a custom fabrication shop, specializing in producing small quantity parts. We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator who can independently manage tasks with minimal supervision.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate a CNC Press Brake machine independently.

    + Read and interpret mechanical drawings for machine and tooling setup.

    + Handle precision sheet metal tasks, including flat layouts and bend deductions.

    + Perform quality checks on first articles and completed parts.

    + Utilize hand measurement tools as required.

    + Conduct necessary maintenance activities.

    + Create parts strictly from blueprints, managing all setups without supervision.

    + Operate the Accupress machine, although experience with any Press Brake is acceptable.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years of experience as a CNC Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficient in reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.

    + Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.

    + Mechanically inclined with hands-on experience in technical trades.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + Any industrial certificates or higher education would be a plus.

    + Fabrication background is a plus but not required.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a clean job shop with a laid-back company culture, where constant productivity is key. The team consists of 35 members, and the facility requires steel-toed shoes and safety glasses. The position operates on the first shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential overtime until 4:30 PM and on Saturdays.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
