Job Title: Welder / Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator for a fast-paced role where you will be responsible for performing MIG and stick welding on various metals. Your primary functions will include positioning, fitting, aligning, and welding products based on specifications and engineering drawings, as well as fitting and grinding manufactured parts. This role requires collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and quality assurance while maintaining customer orders.

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG and stick welding of various metals.

+ Position, fit, align, and weld products based on specifications and engineering drawings.

+ Fit and grind manufactured parts, utilizing various quality instruments to ensure accuracy.

+ Primarily perform MIG welding; occasional TIG or stick welding may be required on specific items.

+ Partner with other departments to ensure smooth production flow and quality assurance.

+ Utilize print and fit components, measuring and cutting when needed.

+ Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Skills

+ 2 - 5 years of experience in welding within manufacturing or similar fields.

+ Strong knowledge of MIG welding and weld symbols.

+ Ability to pass a weld test.

+ High school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Schooling or certifications in welding.

+ Experience with pressure vessel welding or lite pipe welding is a bonus.

+ Blueprint reading, fitting, and grinding skills.

Work Environment

Join our team on the 3rd shift, working Monday through Friday from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, with potential overtime on weekends. Overtime may be required for the 2nd shift every other Saturday. Currently, the average hours worked are 50-55, with plans to reduce this as new positions are filled. Sundays and any hours over 60 are paid at double time. Work in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with a clean and well-organized facility. Uniforms are provided, or you may wear your own work clothes such as jeans or work pants, short-sleeved shirts, and steel toe boots. Certain responsibilities require cut-resistant gloves. Hearing and eye protection are required, and the plant can be loud in some areas.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46800.00 - $46800.00/yr.
