Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. In this role, you will manage and oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong background in accounting and financial systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and approvals.

• Manage payment runs, including check processing and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities in the financial system.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Oversee the timely and accurate processing of vendor payments.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by providing necessary documentation and reports.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards in all financial transactions. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

• Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment runs.

• Hands-on experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check processing.

• Familiarity with financial systems, particularly NetSuite.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and vendors.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
