Job Title: Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Description

The role of Swiss CNC Lathe Machinist involves operating and maintaining CNC lathe equipment to produce high-precision components. Proficiency in reading blueprints and specifications, working with metals and plastics, and consistently delivering parts that meet tight tolerances is required.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and run Swiss CNC Screw machines to maintain high-quality, tight-tolerance machined parts, including programming changes and tooling adjustments.

+ Monitor multiple Swiss CNC machines during production.

+ Document production and quality actions by completing logs.

+ Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

+ Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment following manufacturer's guidelines.

+ Provide feedback and suggestions to management for continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in reading, editing, and changing NC code (G&M code).

+ Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.

+ Strong mechanical skills and inclination.

+ Punctual, positive-minded, and works well with others.

+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

+ Strong communication skills for teamwork.

+ Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment.

+ Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

+ Technical degree or apprenticeship certificate, or equivalent work experience.

+ Minimum 5 years’ experience setting up and operating multi-Axis (Swiss) machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100 certification environments.

+ Strong leadership potential.

+ Familiarity with Exact Job Boss, Unipoint, and GAL6 software systems.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. The environment supports professional growth with a focus on teamwork and innovation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Olympia, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
