Description We are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join our established CPA firm in Palm Desert, California. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your meticulous accounting skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will work on a variety of tasks, including tax preparation, estate planning, and financial accounting, while contributing to the success of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Assist in tax planning to optimize client outcomes and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Contribute to estate planning projects, providing valuable input and support for clients.

• Perform fiduciary accounting tasks, ensuring financial records meet required standards.

• Create and maintain organized and accurate accounting entries, including journal entries and general ledger updates.

• Utilize QuickBooks and other software to manage financial data efficiently.

• Draft precise technical and business correspondence as needed.

• Support the team by staying informed about tax laws and accounting best practices.

• Collaborate with colleagues to provide exceptional service and meet client needs.

• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your expertise. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation.

• Actively pursuing or holding CPA certification.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Word.

• Familiarity with tax preparation software and its applications.

• Strong understanding of corporate, partnership, and individual tax regulations.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
