    Tier 2 / Tier 3 Support Engineer – Onsite (North Indianapolis / Keystone Area)

     

    We’re looking for a Tier 2/3 Support Engineer who has a solid foundation in IT support and a genuine interest in cybersecurity. This role is ideal for someone who earned a cybersecurity degree but has spent the last few years building practical experience in infrastructure support — desktop, server, networking, or a mix of all three. You’ll be handling escalated technical issues, supporting core systems, and working closely with the team to strengthen overall IT operations.

     

    This is a great fit for someone who wants to continue growing in support while slowly leveling up toward security responsibilities over time.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    + Handle escalated Tier 2 and Tier 3 support issues related to desktops, servers, networking, and common enterprise applications.

    + Troubleshoot complex hardware/software problems that Tier 1 can’t solve, using strong analytical and diagnostic skills.

    + Support server and infrastructure components such as Windows Server, Active Directory, group policy, and basic networking.

    + Assist with patching, updates, system monitoring, and general environment health checks.

    + Document recurring issues, root causes, and permanent solutions to improve environment stability.

    + Collaborate with the cybersecurity team (or security-minded initiatives) on best practices, user hardening, and secure configurations.

    + Help implement security fundamentals such as MFA, privileged access controls, workstation hardening, and logging improvements.

    + Participate in small projects involving system upgrades, new deployments, and process improvements.

    Requirements

    What You Bring

     

    + Around 5 years of IT experience, ideally in desktop, system, or infrastructure support roles (Tier 2/3 level).

    + A degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field, or clear interest/learning in the security domain.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktops, Windows servers, and common networking technologies.

    + Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and user administration.

    + Exposure to ticketing systems, escalation processes, and structured IT workflow.

    + A curiosity-driven mindset — someone who likes to understand the “why,” not just fix the “what.”

    + Interest or growing experience in cybersecurity tools, monitoring, endpoint protection, or hardening practices.

     

    Nice to Have (Not Required)

     

    + PowerShell or scripting exposure

    + Experience with firewalls, VPNs, or basic network security tools

    + Familiarity with SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, or endpoint security platforms

    + Any security certifications (Security+, CySA+, etc.)
