    Job Title: Quality Inspector (2nd & 3rd Shift Available!)

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team in a manufacturing facility that specializes in the production of medical wire and tubing. We are seeking a well-rounded quality professional with experience working with metals. As a Quality Inspector, you will utilize a variety of tools including calipers, micrometers, steel rulers, and optical non-contact visual inspection machines to ensure all products meet strict quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

    + Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards.

    + Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.

    + Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.

    + Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

    + Operate electronic inspection equipment and software, including coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) and 3D scanners.

    + Approve or reject raw materials or finished products with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.

    + Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.

    + Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected.

    + Prepare and submit reports to Quality Management.

    + Assist production personnel in promoting ideas for controlling wasted materials and time.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in inspection and quality control processes.

    + Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to measure steel wires.

    + Experience with visual measuring tools similar to a CMM.

    + Skilled in blueprint reading and quality system documentation.

    + Understanding of ISO standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma required.

    + Ability to use a microscope.

    + Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

    + Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.

    + Applies feedback to improve performance.

    + Monitors own work to ensure quality.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rahway, NJ.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
