Job Title:** **Civil Project Manager – Construction & Estimating (Janesville, MN)

About the Role

**We’re seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager** to lead **large-scale civil construction projects** from conception to completion. This role involves **estimating** , **budgeting** , and **project management** for earthwork, excavation, grading, and site utilities. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate!

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop accurate **cost estimates** by reviewing project plans and specifications.

+ Prepare and submit competitive **bids and proposals** .

+ Obtain and evaluate **supplier and subcontractor bids** , identifying risks and cost-saving opportunities.

+ Oversee **project scheduling** , budgeting, and resource allocation.

+ Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.

+ Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to budget and timelines.

+ Resolve issues during construction and adjust plans as needed.

+ Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress reports.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of experience in **civil construction estimating** and **project management** .

+ Strong understanding of **earthwork** , **excavation** , **grading** , **site utilities** , and **road construction** .

+ Proficiency in **construction estimating software** (HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, Bluebeam, or similar).

+ Ability to read and interpret **construction blueprints and specifications** .

+ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.

+ Proficiency in **Microsoft Office Suite** .

+ Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
