Job Title: Mix Room Operator
Job Description
In this role, you will perform all duties related to the operations of the Mix Room. As your training progresses, additional duties and responsibilities will be incorporated as deemed necessary by management.
Responsibilities
+ Follow recipe blending instructions to accurately issue materials by lot and physically mix/blend recipes/batches.
+ Maintain accurate inventory lots and storage conditions for ingredients.
+ Operate Refractometer and record accurate brix.
+ Conduct organoleptic testing on every batch.
+ Use WMS to pick and stage batches by FIFO and notify management of any discrepancy.
+ Complete CIP circuits including chemical checks, hand washing, and other steps of SSOP’s.
+ Operate all Mix & Blending equipment safely according to SOPs, including forklift operations.
+ Report any mechanical issues to the Mix Room Manager or Maintenance Staff.
+ Know and adhere to Company Food Safety, Food Quality, GMP, and HACCP rules and requirements, and report any issues.
+ Unload tankers as needed following all safety procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Production experience
+ Machine operation
+ Mixing
+ 6+ months of machine operation experience in a GMP environment preferred
+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs on occasion
+ Ability to bend, twist, and crouch consistently
+ Strong communication skills: oral, written, and reading
+ Ability to learn operating systems including WMS, Red Zone, DEACOM, and others

Work Environment
The work environment is GMP regulated, located in a very clean and well-maintained 135,000 sq. feet facility in Hopkins. It is temperature controlled. Work shifts include 1st Shift: 5am - 1:30pm Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift: 1pm - 9:30pm Monday-Friday, and 3rd Shift: 9pm - 5:30am Sunday-Thursday. Shift differentials are guaranteed as a raise at the time of conversion.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
