xpJob Title: Mixer Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and energetic Mixer Operator to join our dynamic team in a food-grade facility. This role involves operating large industrial mixers to produce a variety of bakery items, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

+ Operate industrial cooking mixers, following precise instructions and recipes.

+ Load 50-pound bags into mixers repetitively.

+ Pull bakery items from lines and package them.

+ Box cookies and bars, and ice brownies and cupcakes.

+ Mix ingredients and pull finished products from conveyor belts.

+ Remove products that do not meet quality standards.

+ Document each step of the production process with high attention to detail.

+ Be open to cross-training and performing various duties based on daily needs.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.

+ Experience in production, manufacturing, or bakery settings.

+ Previous experience working on a 3rd shift.

+ Attention to detail and willingness to learn quality processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Longevity in previous roles is preferred.

+ No prior e in manufacturing required; experience from retail bakery settings is valuable.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, manufacturing environment with a focus on safety and sanitation. The production floor is divided into mixing, baking, packaging, and a stock room. Enjoy the scent of cookies during your shift. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 2:30 pm to 10:30 am, with hairnets, beard nets, and lab coats required. Safety shoes are recommended as the floor can be slick. We value health and safety, so if you are ill, we encourage you to rest and recover at home.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
