Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving materials from the warehouse to the fabrication line and from the fabrication line to assembly. The goal is to have material handlers manage the movement of products between different spaces exclusively. You will ensure the cleanliness and proper stocking of inventory in the warehouse by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat and organized. Additional duties include loading assembly carts with the correct number and types of parts, verifying parts against blueprints, and conducting cycle counts of inventory. You may also assist with assembling kits as needed and operate a forklift, as well as a variety of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
+ Efficiently and accurately load and unload products and supplies using a forklift.
+ Ensure the proper and safe loading and unloading of products for easy accessibility.
+ Inspect forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
+ Operate forklifts safely and according to safe operating procedures.
+ Assist with maintaining an organized and clean warehouse.
+ Properly pack, label, and tag inventory.
+ Conduct cycle counts of inventory.
+ Assist with assembling kits as needed.
+ Operate hand and power tools and other equipment as required to complete projects.
+ Perform assigned tasks to time standards and quality expectations.
+ Maintain professional, respectful relationships with internal and external customers.
+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Assist other team members to complete tasks and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in labor, forklift operation, and material handling.
+ Proficiency in inventory management, picking, loading, and packing.
+ Ability to operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse forklifts.
+ Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a warehouse environment.
+ Ability to read blueprints and conduct cycle counts.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Work Environment
Work in a large fabrication and assembly plant with a small-town feel. The environment is team-oriented, with management taking a personal interest in each person's success. Employees must be willing to move around and assist other teams when needed. Dress code includes steel toe boots, jeans, and non-offensive clothing. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kindred, ND.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
