    Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY TRAINING AND READINESS PROGRAM MANAGER at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities and timely execution of functional and technical staff of the Joint Training and Readiness Division. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Independently performs activities related to specific joint training and readiness programs and related systems. Advises USTRANSCOM leadership and represents USTRANSCOM in matters related to joint training, force development, and readiness to ensure an effectively trained force, with a variety of joint functional area organizations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Provides subordinate supervisors and staff with direction and guidance regarding policies, procedures, and guidelines relative to the national, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff(CJCS), and combatant command level joint training system management. Oversees management and maintenance of the command's Readiness Program; ensures accurate and timely assessment reporting. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher level management. headquarters, joint staff, and OSD. Synchronizes and ensures the successful integration of strategic mobility forces, logistics infrastructure, and modeling and simulation for USTRANSCOM support to numerous joint exercises. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
