    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Sling Brand Marketing team is accountable for driving the brand strategy, planning, messaging, and consistency across the marketing organization. A significant component of brand marketing involves the design and execution of experience plans. These campaigns are used to create a strong brand halo that improves perception and ultimately drives new customer acquisition.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead annual brand strategy and planning, including narrative development, communication architecture, positioning refinement and cross-channel messaging frameworks to ensure consistent brand expression across the organization

    + Oversee holistic communication and journey strategies, including free-to-paid and paid-to-free pathways, designing messaging and value articulation that drive conversion and lifetime value

    + Lead major Brand TV and Online Video advertising initiatives, including creative brief development, end-to-end creative production oversight, business case modeling and performance forecasting, creative testing and insights integration, stakeholder alignment and cross-functional reviews and ongoing in-market reporting, iteration, and performance optimization

    + Manage cross-functional agency partners, facilitating strategic direction, feedback cycles, and operational workflows to deliver high-quality output and performance accountability

    + Develop strategic messaging, claims and product value articulation in partnership with Consumer Insights, Legal and Product Marketing teams to drive relevance, differentiation and competitive distinctiveness

    + Own budget planning and financial stewardship for assigned brand initiatives, including forecasting, tracking, pacing and identifying investment efficiencies.

    + Manage and develop a small team of brand marketers and/or cross-functional workstreams; cultivate strong collaboration, mentorship and performance accountability

     

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Education & Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications, or related field

    + Minimum 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, integrated campaign development or brand strategy, preferably within consumer subscription services or entertainment categories

    + Minimum 3+ years of people leadership or team management experience, including coaching, delegation, performance management and talent development

    Skills and Qualifications:

    + Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing campaigns, from strategic brief through creative execution and in-market performance measurement

    + Proven ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional partners including Consumer Insights, Product, Programming, Finance, Legal, PR, and Media

    + Strong analytical capabilities with experience using data and insights to inform strategy, creative decisions, and ongoing optimization

    + Exceptional communication and executive presence, with proven ability to present and defend strategic recommendations to senior leadership

    + Highly organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous priorities and aggressive timelines

    Salary Ranges

     

    Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

    The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
