Applies knowledge of electrical, electronics and controls principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Installs and repairs high and low voltage electrical equipment including but not limited to transformers, starting circuits, service panels, wiring and conduit.

    Responsibilities:

    + Installs, troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, computer controls, power supplies, drives, gages, test equipment, distributed controls, HVAC systems, and instrumentation

    + Installs, troubleshoots and repairs high and low voltage electrical equipment

    + Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, local and national electrical codes, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment

    + Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements

    + Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and components

    + Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment

    + Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed

    + Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments

    + Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions

    + Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring that equipment is restored to optimal working condition

    + Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan

    + Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory

    + Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations

    + Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment

    + Continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

    Qualifications

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Good communication skills both verbal and written

    + Two-year technical degree and/or Journeyman card or papers is preferred

    + 5 years minimum of industrial maintenance, HVAC work experience required

    WE VALUE

    + Basic knowledge of mechanical repair

    + Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

    + Willingness to grow and learn

    + Ability to complete work as instructed and follow up

    + Capable of lifting to 35 pounds

    + Some relevant repair experience

    + Ability to demonstrate high proficiency in electrical/HVAC

    + Experience in the chemical industry preferred

    + Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics and pneumatic fields required
