Job Description:

Responsible for leading and coaching manufacturing team to manage production processes. Team Leader must lead by example in the areas of safety, 5S compliance, quality, and productivity initiatives while also fulfilling the assigned duties of a direct labor associate. Candidate selection will be through an interview-based process.

+ Operate assigned equipment and performs material handling functions as needed.

+ Must support and lead safety and quality initiatives.

+ Must maintain production measurements (i.e., PPH) by assisting operators in minimizing downtime.

+ Ensure kanban compliance by team members and maintain inventory counts

+ Must understand and apply the 5S philosophy and ensure all housekeeping assignments are completed per shift.

+ Help to minimize downtime by assisting in troubleshooting, repairs, and enhancing existing procedures.

+ Maintain and review product quality standards while being a resource for compliance and engineering.

+ Assist in review, disposition, and follow up of hold tag area.

+ Enforce safety compliance and proper PPE.

+ Determine best use of labor during periods of downtime.

+ Communicate openly and effectively with PC about any concerns or issues.

+ Perform additional duties during PC’s absence including scheduling, rostering, and shift oversight.

+ Ability to perform titration as needed.

+ Be knowledgeable of all job functions and equipment.

+ Assist in training of manufacturing team across all shifts

Qualifications

+ Must have earned a high school diploma or GED.

+ Ability to operate or learn to operate all styles of SWBU machinery

+ Be willing to be a point of contact for your assigned area and shift.

+ Must have an excellent attendance record.

+ Must be able to work overtime, sometimes with little notice.

+ A proven demonstration of strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a positive attitude.

+ Must be customer focused and goal oriented.

+ Must be self-motivated and able to fulfill all job obligations with minimal supervision.

+ Must be mechanically inclined.

Compensation Information:

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
