Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The Communications Specialist plays a key role in crafting and delivering clear, consistent, and engaging communications across the organization. This individual will help ensure employees are informed, inspired, and connected. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator with strong writing, editing, and presentation skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a keen eye for brand consistency.
• **Content Creation & Coordination**
• Coordinate, write, and produce content for company messaging, including updates, FAQs, town halls, newsletters, and intranet posts.
• Develop clear, empathetic, and engaging materials that align with company tone and values.
• Support translation of key communications into other languages as needed.
• **Internal Engagement & Culture**
• Promote and support internal programs such as employee spotlights, community giving, wellness initiatives, and culture campaigns.
• Partner with HR, IT, Operations, and senior leaders to ensure clear and timely communication across teams.
• Support planning, promotion, and execution of internal events and engagement activities.
• **Change & Leadership Communication**
• Support messaging from senior leadership, including corporate announcements and organizational updates.
• Translate complex or sensitive topics into employee-friendly, transparent communications.
• Create communication plans that guide employees through transitions and minimize uncertainty.
• Develop FAQs, talking points, email campaigns, intranet articles, and visual aids to support change initiatives.
• Ensure all communications reflect the company’s values, tone, and engagement goals.
• **Brand & Presentation**
• Develop communication and promotional materials for internal events and initiatives.
• Maintain adherence to company brand standards in all messaging and visual materials.
• Deliver presentations and support public speaking engagements for leadership and internal audiences.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience); or Associate’s degree with experience.
+ 1+ years of experience in corporate or internal communications preferred.
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe tools.
+ Highly reliable with outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
+ Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and adapt to change.
+ Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills across departments.
+ Familiarity with communication platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, internal intranets).
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing,
+ 3+ years of experience in corporate or internal communications preferred.
+ Speaking, writing, and understanding Canadian French is a plus, but not required.

Essential Job Functions:
+ Be able to lift and carry, drawings, personal computers, material, and spend significant time sitting etc.
+ Be able to lift up to 30lbs.
+ Be able to spend significant time standing and walking.
+ Be able to climb flights of stairs throughout a typical day.
+ Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, if driving a company vehicle or participating in an auto allowance program.
