About the role

As **Lead** , you will make an impact by designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure architecture solutions that support business growth and ensure system resilience. You will be a valued member of the Engineering & Cloud Solutions team and work collaboratively with architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement scalable and secure cloud architectures using AWS to meet business requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and best practices for AWS cloud services to optimize performance and cost.

• Oversee the development and deployment of infrastructure as code to ensure consistency and repeatability.

• Implement SRE principles to enhance system reliability availability and performance.

• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architectures and operational processes.

**Work model:** Hybrid.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 - 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in **Plano, TX** . What you need to have to be considered:

• 8+ years of relevant experience.

• Possess a deep understanding of AWS services and architecture principles.

• Demonstrate expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and methodologies.

• Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

• Show proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Display a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.

• You must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.

These will help you stand out:

• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards in all cloud solutions.

• Conduct regular reviews and audits of cloud environments to identify areas for improvement.

• Lead incident response efforts to quickly resolve system outages and minimize downtime.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize cloud infrastructure projects.

• Provide training and support to team members on AWS and SRE practices.

• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that drive business growth.

**Certifications** : AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certified Kubernetes Administrator.

Salary and compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be between $60,000 to $93,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
