    Job Description

    The Iowa Department of Revenue is seeking seasonal workers to work in the Alcohol & Tax Operations Division, Central Collections Unit call center.

    Following all policies and procedures, the successful candidate will:

    + Answer incoming calls from taxpayers with questions regarding how to make payment, asking for their balance due, etc.

    + Work in a fast-paced call center environment

    + Provide thorough customer service by answering questions

    + Handle confidential information, utilize attention to detail, review work for accuracy and error

    + Be able to work remotely. Requirements include that you provide internet service. Equipment and training will be provided.

     

    Hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.; full time 40 hours per week.

     

    The rate of pay is $18.73 an hour and is considered a seasonal assignment.

     

    Applicants must live within the State of Iowa to qualify for this position.

     

    A background check, including a criminal history check, fingerprint and Iowa tax filing check, will be conducted on the final candidate.

    This is a non-merit, TEMPORARY position with the Iowa Department of Revenue.

     

    Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.
