PRODUCTION CONTROL MANAGER SHELBYVILLE, TENNESSEE

You understand the intersection of scheduling, systems, customer commitments, and plant performance—and you operate with a continuous improvement mindset that strengthens operational excellence and drives business outcomes. YOU WILL:
+ Lead a high-impact Production Control & Scheduling function. Own the scheduling strategy, end-to-end workflow, and department execution across four major production value streams.
+ Develop, lead, and coach your team. Manage 10–18 direct and indirect team members across multiple levels, ensuring clarity of expectations, performance accountability, development planning, and consistent coaching.
+ Drive scheduling accuracy, efficiency, and optimization. Participate in and refine scheduling processes, identify gaps and issues, facilitate solutions, and provide hands-on support to schedulers as needed.
+ Lead cross-functional initiatives and projects. Serve as a core partner to Operations, IT, Marketing, Customer Service, Sales, and other stakeholders. Lead and support projects including EFI/ERP system integrations, new product launches, process transformations, and plant-wide scheduling initiatives.
+ Champion problem-solving and technology alignment. Investigate issues, conduct testing, evaluate alternatives, and collaborate with developers, PMs, and BAs to ensure system solutions align to operational needs.
+ Strengthen operational continuity. Provide day-to-day support to plant management, troubleshoot scheduling-related production issues, and ensure alignment between Production Control,
+ Plant Admin, and all operational workstreams.
+ Promote a safety-first culture. Operate within established safety plans and OSHA standards, ensuring the team upholds safe work practices and compliance at all times.
+ On-call accountability. Be available after hours as needed and maintain appropriate communication accessibility through either a personal mobile device or call-forwarding office line. Typical/expected overnight travel: Less than 2 percent.
YOU HAVE:
+ Education. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
+ Experience. Five to ten years of experience in printing or manufacturing operations, scheduling, customer service, or an equivalent background supporting complex production environments.
+ Technical and analytical strength. Strong analytical capability, project management experience, and the ability to understand and optimize production scheduling processes.
+ Cross-functional acumen. Demonstrated ability to partner with IT, operations, and customer service to define requirements, support projects, and drive business results.
+ Leadership capability. Proven success leading teams, driving accountability, supporting development, and influencing at all levels.
+ Communication excellence. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
+ Operational discipline. Effective time management, the ability to handle competing priorities, and a track record of managing multiple projects efficiently.
+ Preferred experience. Familiarity with Oracle, JIRA, Plant Admin, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
