KWKT-TV, a Nexstar Media Inc. station, is looking for a passionate and driven Multimedia Journalist to join our Waco newsroom. This role is central to our mission of delivering fast, accurate, and engaging news across digital and broadcast platforms, with a strong focus on breaking news and community impact across Central Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Pitch, research, and report local news stories for TV and digital

+ Conduct interviews and gather information from diverse sources

+ Write, shoot, voice, and edit news packages

+ Engage audiences through social media and web platforms

+ Collaborate with producers and news managers to shape coverage

+ Uphold journalistic standards and editorial integrity

+ Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and station goals.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field (or equivalent experience)

+ 2+ years of reporting experience preferred

+ Strong on-air presence and storytelling skills

+ Proficiency in newsroom technology and editing software

+ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

+ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

+ Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

+ Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
