Job Description
An employer is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Designer for a long term opportunity in the Cincinnati, OH area. This Designer must have HVAC experience in addition to Revit and AutoCad experience over five plus years to hit the ground running. The company seeking the Sr. Designer has been named a top workplace for the last five years and is looking to add to a growing team. Day to day responsibilities will include leading the mechanical design process from concept through construction documents, developing HVAC and plumbing system layouts using Revit and AutoCAD and performing load calculations, equipment selection, and energy analysis. They will be in a cross functional team where they will coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and civil engineers to review and mark up shop drawings and submittals as well as help mentor junior designers down the line. This will also involve some client facing responsibilities to present drawings and updates to project scope.

Skills and Requirements
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
8+ years of experience in mechanical design for buildings
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software (e.g., Trane Trace, Carrier HAP)
Strong knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and LEED principles
Excellent communication and coordination skills PE license preferred but not required
