Lead Finance Analyst
This role will provide cost accounting knowledge and analysis to multiple stakeholders with high level of complexity, works independently on most complex assignments and can identify issues and/or recommend and implement solutions, training other professionals. This role will contribute to the reliability of the books in his/her scope of responsibility and accuracy of product cost, allowing certification by auditors. Ensures compliance with BMA, IFRS and Group guidelines.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Responsible for 90-day cycle finance KPI tracking, analysis, bridge main drivers, provide recommendations to cost centers owners
+ Responsible for annual estimation process, full year cost effects measure, contribution on risk and opportunities mapping and sensitivity analysis
+ Contributes to managing monthly closing activities, accruals and adjustments as needed and analyzing variances
+ Provides updates on financial performance, spending trends and proposes corrective actions – collaborates with stakeholders providing transparency on performance
+ Supports saving taking initiatives, allocations and prioritization according to business financial impact
+ Drives compliance efforts according to corporate controlling guidance, training the organization on policies, and assistance with internal audits
+ Assists organization with competitive cost initiatives, capital investments and expenses process
+ Performs ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support Site decisions
+ Works to streamline, simplify and standardize processes and procedures for Site and benchmark with other sites to spread and share best practices
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
+ 5+ years of experience in finance or cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
+ Expert in Cost Accounting processes - especially product costing and inventory valuation as well as production value flow - and related system settings and internal controls.
+ Proficient with enterprise-wide business systems (SAP) and proficiency with MS Office applications and BI
+ Ability to work independently developing alternative solutions to complex problems, and at a high degree of accuracy, initiative and reliability
+ Experienced in multidisciplinary project and corresponding change management. Competence to grasp an overview of complex subject matters and to deduce operational activities.
+ Open-minded personality with strong communication skills and ability to act as adviser to the AIM organization to combine business related questions with accounting impacts
+ Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills are required as is the ability to build long-term partnerships with staff and others at multiple levels within the organization to support company, site and department objectives and management decisions
+ Sound business perspective and analytical skills
+ Drives for results and has a sense of urgency
+ Promote new ideas for team and site performance
+ Ability to work in international environment and to build trustful relationships across all levels of organization (no-silo mentality)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of Life Science/Ag business and manufacturing processes,
+ Knowledge of Bayer Group accounting and reporting requirements
+ Cross-organizational assignment
+ CPA or MBA
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $100,749.60 - $151,124.40. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
