    Job Overview

    Responsibilities

    The **Maintenance Technician** will provide repair and maintenance of the agency properties and equipment, cover the areas of appliance and equipment, heating and cooling, basic plumbing techniques, and furniture/office setup. Maintenance Technicians will be required to work in the outdoor elements that could include hot or cold weather, rain, snow, or dry conditions. In addition, you will:

     

    + Checktheheatingandcoolingcyclesasseasonschange.

    + Cleanandinspectboilersandchecksafety switches.

    + Cleanandoilcentralairconditioning units.

    + Cleanclothesdryerinteriorsandvents.

    + Lubricateblowermotors,recirculationpumps,exhaustfanmotors.

    + Checkandchangefurnacefiltersmonthly.

    + Cleantherefrigeratorandfreezercoils.

    + Clean,lube,andcheckwindowairconditioners.

    + Cleanwaterheaterburnersandchecksafetyswitches.

    + Performroutineandpreventativemaintenanceonappliances.Performappliancerepairswhenpossible.

    + Performminorlockrepairsand locksmithing.

    + Changelightbulbs,ballastand/orlightfixturesasneeded.

    + Clearcloggedtoiletsand/orsewerlinesas needed.

    + Performminorplumbingandelectricalrepairs.

    + Maintaingroundsbyperforminglawncare,snowremoval,lighttreetrimming,andlandscapingworkasneeded.

    + Performroutinemaintenanceandrepairsonlawnandsnowequipment.

    + Monitorvehiclemaintenanceandperformvehiclerepairswhenpossible.

    + PerformmonthlyPMs(GFI,fireextinguishers,emergencylights,timermotors,exhaustfansandvents,lubepumps, utility checks, generator test, refrigerator coils cleaned).

    + Providesupportinofficesetupand moves.

    + Repairdamagetothebuildingsandfurniturewhenpossible.

    + AssistHousekeepingstaffasneeded.

    + FillsupplyordersforREandAdultGroupHomesandmaintaininventorybyreorderingstock.

    + Scheduleappointmentswithvendorsasneeded.

    + Participate in on-call rotation.

    + Otherdutiesas assigned.

    Requirements

    Education:

    + HighSchoolDiplomaorequivalentrequired.

    Experience:

    + Previousexperienceinmaintenanceworkpreferred.

    + Experienceand/ortheabilitytoperformtrouble-shootingtasksonappliancesand equipment.

    Knowledge/Skills:

    + Skilledandknowledgeableinappliances,heating,cooling,electrical,andplumbing.

    + Abilitytoeffectivelycommunicatewithcoworkers,staff,residents,andvendors.

    + Abilitytomeetdeadlines,andflexibilitytore-prioritizetasksasnecessary.

    + Basiccomputerskills.

    Licenses/Certifications:

    + Current and valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements is required. .

    + MandatoryReporterofChild/DependentAdultAbuseCertificationortheabilityto obtain within six (6) months of hire and every three (3) years thereafter required.
