    The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. MSOP is a national leader in the industry and is committed to providing services on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of clients. MSOP has facilities in Moose Lake and St. Peter, MN. MSOP Moose Lake site serves clients in the earlier stages of treatment in a secure setting.

     

    The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is seeking an individual to join our team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Volunteer Services Coordinator at our Moose Lake, MN location.

     

    The Volunteer Services Coordinator position coordinates and supervises all volunteer, spiritual and support services programming. This position establishes and maintains a community-based network for client support and resources, coordinating community volunteers for internal volunteer and spiritual programming as well as collaborating with agencies for client support resources in the local communities.

    Primary Responsibilities Include:

    + Organize, plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the volunteer and spiritual services and programming.

    + Facilitate volunteer and spiritual programming.

    + Serve as a liaison between the facility and community spiritual and volunteer resources.

    + Recruit, approve, train, and supervise MSOP volunteers.

    + Communicate with staff regarding volunteer activities and/or spiritual needs of clients to enhance programming.

    Minimum Qualifications

    One (1) year of experience being directly involved with volunteer work and or/event planning demonstrating the following:

    + Planning, developing, organizing, administering and evaluating Spiritual services and activities.

    + Planning and administering a program of recruitment, screening, placement, and training of volunteer workers.

    + Collaborating with local community organizations to develop community partners and resources

    + Effectively prioritizing and managing competing needs to find creative solutions and compromises in complex situations

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Therapeutic Recreation or related field

    Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) healthcare facilities require employees to provide documentation that they are free from tuberculosis (TB) through a blood test prior to employment. DCT does not accept TB skin testing.
