    Job Description for Integration Development Engineer

    JOB SUMMARY

    The integration development engineer will work in NY Creates state-of-the-art 300 mm fab, focusing on technology development, device integration, process development, and device/process characterization. The engineer will have the opportunity to pioneer next-generation semiconductor devices and emerging memories with exploratory materials, conduct research on cutting-edge technologies, and collaborate with world-class researchers across industry and academia in a global consortium environment.

     

    The role requires close collaboration with integration engineers, process engineers, device engineers, and operations staff, and cleanroom operations to ensure efficient program execution. The position also requires clear communication with customers thorough documentation to support certifications, and strong project management skills to handle multiple development programs in a fast-paced setting.

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    + Establish, set up, and execute experimental and line-health production runs within the 300 mm line to achieve key objectives.

    + Interact with key stakeholders (customers, process engineers, program managers) to establish project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

    + Characterize, summarize, and interpret the results of experiments and other production runs.

    + Documentation of results in the forms of papers and presentations.

    + Mentoring junior engineers and technicians

    + Other reasonable duties assigned.

    Job Requirements:

    Minimum Requirements for Integration Development Engineer

     

    + B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related

    + engineering/science discipline from a USDOE-accredited or internationally recognized institution.

    + 2-5 years of industry experience in technology development, device integration, process

    + development, and device/process characterization for advanced CMOS or related semiconductor

    + technologies.

    + Solid understanding of device physics, semiconductor process integration, and material systems

    + relevant to FEOL and BEOL development.

    + Knowledge of the interactions between equipment, process modules, and device performance.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to both technical

    + teams and executive-level stakeholders.

    + Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills in a multi-client consortium environment.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced setting and deliver results under

    + pressure.

     

    This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + 5-10 years of experience in semiconductor process integration (advanced CMOS, derivatives, or emerging technologies).

    + Experience in emerging memory, 3D integration, or advanced packaging is highly desirable.

    + Knowledge of exploratory materials (e.g., high-k dielectrics, ferroelectrics, magnetic materials, or 2D channels) and experience with advanced characterization techniques (electron microscopy, X-ray analysis, electrical reliability testing, in-line metrology).

    + Familiarity with consortium or multi-client development environments and customer-facing programs execution.

    + Demonstrated strength in cross-functional collaboration with process, device, and reliability teams.
