    WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Vice President, Project & Program Management, to work in New York, NY.**

    Your Impact

    + Serve in an Asset Delivery Manager role on a large electrical grid resiliency program delivered via various contracting methods (DBB, EPC and EPCI).

    + Serve as Owner’s Delivery Partner, and Independent PMO. Coordinate directly with Client and Joint Development Partner and Contractors.

    + Provide leadership for a multi-disciplined Asset Delivery Team for asset delivery to scope, cost, and schedule including Program Management, Design Management, Risk Management, Safety Management, Quality Control, Construction Oversight, and Environmental Compliance.

    + Responsible for independent review of asset progress.

    + Perform asset schedule review and analysis.

    + Provide solutions to project issues.

    + Review and strategize improvement to key operational performance metrics.

    + Support and empower staff to execute project assignments on time and on budget.

    + Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients, agencies, partner firms and sub-consultants, as well as other external stakeholders such as vendors and suppliers.

    + Lead staff development which includes mentoring, training, coaching and professional development.

    + Accountable for overall management and successful execution of program/assets within the energy, utility, and transportation markets, monitoring internal and external events, expenses, performance, and profitability.

    + Oversee the discipline’s vision and mission to promote an appropriate value proposition that accounts for corporate and WSP client business strategy, governmental regulations and policies, and QA/QC in delivery.

    + Create a learning culture that values innovative subject matter expertise and fosters effective and continual personal development.

    + Develop and implement a communication strategy to increase the effectiveness of discipline-related processes, systems, and practices, and mitigating discipline-related risks.

    + Serve as program management discipline subject matter expert to a variety of internal / external entities including Federal, State, and Local Agencies, Clients, Contractors, Subcontractors, industry-related groups, and various government and community entities.

    + Manage overall delivery team’s performance and provide inspiring leadership to assigned management and staff.

    + Develop extensive high-level business contacts and client base for providing program management services including identifying additional business development opportunities, and cross-selling of other WSP capabilities.

    + Collaborate with professionals and senior leadership from a variety of disciplines to provide future ready solutions for clients.

    + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

     

    Who You Are

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

    + Extensive project delivery experience as a Program/Asset Manager.

    + 12+ years of relevant experience.

    + Proven experience in the delivery of energy and/or utility infrastructure projects and/or programs, with construction costs in excess of $500 million.

    + Advanced SME-level proficiency with utility, energy, transit or energy civil engineering principles, practices, process, standard of care, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Excellent computer skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + MS Degree (Engineering).

    + PE License.

    + PMP Certification.

    + Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project and/or program delivery experience as a Program/Asset Manager.

    Compensation:

    Expected Salary (all locations): $240,600-260,100/yr

     

    WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
