    Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a **Microbiologist II** in **Monroe, NC** ! This role is in person / onsite. Please review the details below and apply with an updated resume.

     

    **Position Type** : Six-month contract, with opportunity for extension or fulltime offer

    **Schedule** : Monday through Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM

    **Pay** : $29.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience

    **Responsibilities of the Microbiologist II** :

    • Lead and execute sterilization validation activities for EO, gamma, and other sterilization modalities.

    • Perform dose mapping and dose audits for radiation-sterilized products in accordance with ISO 11137.

    • Develop and maintain sterility assurance programs aligned with ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and EU MDR.

    • Review and approve protocols and reports for sterilization and bioburden testing.

    • Execute method validations for medical device and non-medical device for bioburden and sterilization according to ISO standards.

    • Author SOPs, test procedures, and assist in creating validation protocols and reports for the lab.

    • Perform microbiological testing and examination according to valid procedures, such as Bioburden, Endotoxin,Sterility, Growth promotion and Environmental Monitoring.

    • Test non-conforming product to resolve QIR issues as well as investigate returned products via complaint processing system.

    • Investigate sterility-related deviations and implement effective CAPAs.

    • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams during new product development and process changes.

    • Serve as SME during internal audits and regulatory inspections (FDA, ISO, Notified Bodies).

    • Maintain current knowledge of industry standards including ISO 11737, ISO 11135, and EU GMP Annex 1.

    • Assist in the development and implementation of processes and facility monitoring to ensure effective contamination control strategies are established.

    • Assist in the development of facility gowning program.

    • Train personnel on aseptic techniques, contamination control, and GMP practices.

    **Qualifications** **of the Microbiologist II** :

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.

    • 3–5 years of experience in sterility assurance, microbiology, or validation in a regulated industry.

    • Strong knowledge of sterilization modalities and microbiological testing methods.

    • Familiarity with ISO, FDA, and EU regulatory standards.

    • Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

    **Pay Details:** $29.00 to $35.00 per hour
