Lead Mechanic

We’re seeking a skilled Lead Mechanic to join our team and take ownership of maintaining and repairing trailer beds and related components. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving, and leading by example in a fast-paced shop environment.
Responsibilities:
+ Diagnose and repair trailer beds, electrical wiring, brake lights, and lighting systems
+ Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks
+ Lead repair projects and ensure high-quality workmanship
+ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues
+ Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used
+ Provide guidance to junior mechanics and support overall shop operations
Qualifications:
+ Previous experience as a mechanic; trailer repair experience strongly preferred
+ Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and brake light repair
+ Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot independently
+ Welding or fabrication skills a plus
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
+ Ability to lift, bend, and work in a hands-on shop environment
Schedule & Pay:
+ Full-time position: 8:30am - 4:00pm
+ Competitive pay based on experience: $23 - $30 /hour

**Pay Details:** $23.00 to $30.00 per hour
